César Luengo develops a world of unquiet images. Under the artist´s gaze, a garden´s corner, a fragment of architecture are filled with powerful, poetic intensity. And it is just this particular gaze what gives them their strength. Views of a familiar environment are transmuted and redefined by an atmosphere shrouded in romantic evocation. Therefore, neither the model nor even the basic approach of the carrriying out of the work is what defines the nature of such a work, but something more subtle, a hardly perceptible gulf, and that is the accent the artist transmits to both the model and the language to define their own place. From such an accent, the most familiar view may become impregnated with the mist of mystery.
